2. Understanding Machine Learning

What Past Students Think
“There is not much I cannot find on Pluralsight. It has been my resource for gaining the skills I need to maintain relevance. All the courses I have taken have been relevant, informative, and intuitive which promotes a great learning experience. Would highly recommend this service to anyone that is a self-motivated, eager learner, that wants or needs to gain new skills to keep moving forward in their career.” – Robert Fitzgerald
“Pluralsight is the ‘Netflix’ of streaming technology videos. The quality of its offering, leaves the competition in the dust. What I love most is the skills IQ test. It gives me good feedback on what I already know and what I should focus on. The instructors know their stuff and are renowned in their disciplines. My cons for Pluralsight is their bias towards Microsoft technologies and the speeding up of sections of videos that explains the code. I find myself rewinding several times to grasp what is being taught.” – Faithman Nartey
“If I had to give my review of Pluralsight in one word, I would say…Awesome! There are so many options of courses available to help get that specific certification you are looking for. Depending on the plan that is chosen, there are excellent practice exams available that definitely help to ace that exam! If I was asked if I plan on renewing my subscription, I would say absolutely!” – Cris C.
“I used to have no idea where to start learning a new technology. Hopefully Google or YouTube would pop up something useful, but it would take hours to vet and usually the results didn’t get me past beginner level. PluralSight does all that for me so I can just sit down and learn whatever I need to in as much depth as I want. As a software engineer, PluralSight has helped me quickly jump between niches.” – Michael Buchoff

Pros and Cons
- It is a moderate programmer platform and suggests it is more like an IT system administrators kind of training platform.
- You can browse and select your specific type of goal if you want to be a data professional if you want to go into cloud computer computing.
- You can also choose a specific path and there are roles where you want to go and measure yourself of your current skills against the PluralSight role of testing engine.
- There are also new releases where you can pick what’s most popular on this particular platform.
- You can create a path or choose from one of the default paths or you can choose a channel.
- You can choose content and make it into a channel where you can choose in the order and learn the courses or select them to train at your own pace.
- Aside from that, you can create bookmarks. You can select a course and then you can just run it and then you can create bookmarks.
- There is no lifetime access.
- Once if your subscription is over or if you stop paying then you’ll not get access to sign-up for the online courses.
- As the pricing plans are in subscription prices you cannot just buy one course.
- Sadly, there are no refunds present or available in this course.
- It is pretty expensive for everyone to afford.
- No many can be benefited from this program.
- Free-Trial access is only limited and not many can benefit from it.
- These courses need updating especially web development. Having a web development course that’s six years old is not good.
- I also think they need to pay more attention to detail to better organization, I feel like a lot of material and a lot of the features were hastily thrown together.
- Basic Filtering options would be a huge upgrade and the instructor quality varies.
- A lot of instructors are very obviously reading from a slide while some instructors do sound pretty robotic.

PluralSight vs TreeHouse
PluralSight has a template format they’re gonna talk about who the person is, what you’re gonna learn and it’s nice but the production value is definitely different.
The best introductions are from TreeHouse and PluralSight. It’s gonna be kept consistent. With PluralSight I do like the way they go ahead and set that search out but TreeHouse it’s a lot harder.
It doesn’t give you tons of information to filter when you search for a result. It’s hard to filter the newest oldest here and it just doesn’t stand out and it’s not as easy and it doesn’t give a thumbnail or anything like that.
TreeHouse is also about web development but it’s done at a subscription base as well. It’s 24 a month and they offer usually beginner to intermediate courses in programming. It’s very interesting to see the differences here.
But maybe if you’re starting out then I’d suggest TreeHouse. You should look at the ratings here.
That’s one thing that a TreeHouse does not have our ratings from students and they also really set their instructor.

Conclusion | Pluralsight Review 2021 Is Pluralsight worth the money?
Even though PluralSight is too expensive, I think the features are pretty good with decent benefits to the user. It’s on my list of top-tier platforms as well.
If you can get your work to pay for a premium plan or if your library offers it for free then it’s worth it for some of the projects otherwise you can also stick with their free trial.
They do have a free trial for all the plans where you can choose different options.
Features: Pluralsight offers a range of training programs to help you learn the skills required for working in your field.
Advantages: Pluralsight is an easy-to-use web-based program that is simple enough for anyone to use and lets you practice what you have learned on your own computer, regardless of whether or not there are any other people around to see.
Benefits: You can test out your learning on your own time and save time and money by avoiding having to hire a professional developer or programmer who would cost you far more than what you’re paying now.
The concept of the project workflow is really good in PluralSight. I really like that whatever project you take you’re working with Git fundamentals so you’re getting the organization going.
It’s something that you’re going to use in the real world and it was really neat seeing these projects being run against these tests and having that nearly immediate feedback.
